I mainly use it for powdered sugar and it’s perfect for that purpose! I like it so much I gave one to another baker friend. She likes it too.

Perfect for sprinkling flour on dough and counter while making bread

Love, love love this item. Best thing I’ve bought. Everyone has the usual shaker for confectioner sugar or they use a sieve. When I use this Oxo shaker everyone wants to know where I got it. Cute, sturdy, and easy to use.

Love this device. So handy for sifting powdered sugar on anything.

I saw this on an Amazon Influncers page and immediately saw a use for it. My daughter eats a lot of mini pancakes and likes powdered sugar on them. Just turn the knob on the end and scoop some powdered sugar in and twist the knob back to close it up. Then tap to sprinkle sugar over the pancakes. I wish I had bought two the first time around.

I use this quite a bit than I thought I would. It’s really convenient to use for dusting flour on work table. Not a big mess using your hand straight out of the flour bag. Less waste of flour too.

Quite handy for sprinkling flour while baking or cooking. Could use another one for spreading cocoa for sweet desserts and another for powdered sugar.

I bought this item to use when making brownies. I wanted to finish them off with a light dusting of powdered sugar. Dry powdered sugar can be lumpy. This item fixes it. To fill it, you turn the ball at the bottom of the handle and it rolls open halfway. Dump in some powdered sugar then turn the handle back to the original position and you have a metal ball full of powered sugar. Shake it over your brownies and you’ll have the exact effect you were looking for. It’s also nice when you want to do a stencil over a cake that you’re not going to ice. In this case you’d cut out a heart (or any shape you want), place it on your cake, then shake the powdered sugar over it. Remove the template and you have a perfectly un-dusted heart in the middle of your cake. Cool!Note: Some call powdered sugar either “icing sugar” or “confectioners sugar”. Same thing.
