About Lodge Cast Iron
Founded in 1896, the Lodge family has been making high quality cookware and accessories for over a century. Lodge Cast Iron operates two foundries on the banks of the Tennessee River in the small town of South Pittsburg, Tennessee; a town Lodge is proud to call home. The company is built on family values, American history, and high quality cookware. All Lodge seasoned cast iron and carbon steel cookware is proudly made in the USA, meaning you’ll get craftsmanship that has been passed down through generations.
Cooking And Caring For Your Lodge Enameled Cast Iron
1. Allow cookware to cool.
2. Although dishwasher safe, hand washing with warm soapy water and a nylon Scrub Brush is recommended to preserve the cookware’s original appearance. Citrus juices and citrus-based cleaners (including some dishwasher detergents) should not be used, as they can dull the exterior gloss.
3. If necessary, use nylon pads or scrapers to remove food residue; metal pads or utensils will scratch or chip porcelain.
4. Slight stains can be removed by rubbing with dampened cloth and Lodge Enamel Cleaner or other ceramic cleaner according to directions on bottle.
5. Dry cookware thoroughly before storing. Do not stack cookware.

I hate cleaning pots and pans and after purchasing two to trial them, I am going to purchase every size and replace my old cookware. There’s nothing like it. Good price and excellent satisfaction guarantee from a trusted company.
I cooked a pot roast and was very happy with the outcome.

I’ve enjoyed using this Dutch oven. It’s easy to clean and makes some really good dishes. It’s the perfect size also.
bought this in a price reduction cart and I’m so happy with the purchase
I made a big batch of Chilorio and it worked like a dream, nice even heat throughout the whole cook. I sprayed with pam before starting and cleanup was a breeze, it still looks new

I cooked a meal in my new put today and it did it beautifully. Despite the food simmering on the cooktop for hours, nothing stuck to the bottom and the pot washed quit easily.I think for a reasonable pot, I paid a reasonable price. Anymore, would be wafting money.

This is very handy way to sear then slow cook in the oven. Looking forward to many more years of making delicious meals in this beautiful cooking utensil.
First of all it is beautiful. I purchased the red 6 quart Dutch Oven. I cooked a whole chicken with potatoes and other veggies in the Dutch Oven and it was wonderful. The chicken so tender it was falling off the bone. I will say that this Dutch Oven is very heavy, so if you have weak hands or wrists you may want something else. I like that it can stand temperatures up to 500 degrees so if you are baking certain breads it will work great for that. Another point about this is that the lid and the handle on it can stand the 500 degrees too, but one has to remember to use a really good hot pad to take the pot out of the oven and to take the lid off. It was very easy to clean but you do have to wait until it cools completely. And I also like that it has the cream colored insides instead of the dark. It is a very versatile pot to own and a great addition to my kitchen.

Lodge comes through in a BIG way with this beauty! Arrived in perfect condition and was well-packaged to protect it. It is the nicest looking dish in our house. The heat distribution is perfect and it cooks evenly and thoroughly. Cleaning is a breeze too. I bought the Lodge ceramic cleaning kit to go with it, but you don’t have to. Just make sure you read ALL instructions for proper cleaning and care and this will last a long, long time. For those who disagree with the fact that Lodge has to have the ceramic for their items manufactured in China, understand that there is not a single manufacturer that can do it in the States, so not matter where you purchase a ceramic coated cast iron item, it’s going to be coated outside of the country. The cast iron itself is made in America.I highly recommend this wonderful Dutch oven and I promise, you won’t be disappointed if used, cleaned, and stored properly. Thank you Lodge for making such great products that make my cooking stand out.
