   UPDATE – Absolute “must buy” for any bathroom

   Clean looking plunger & canister for a bathroom. The plunger itself has a strong white handle with a black rubber suction creating “head.” The canister is white and hides the black rubber head within its two side flaps which part as the plunger handle is lifted up and closes as the plunger is placed on the small platform it rests on within the canister when not in use.I will be updating this OXO Good Grips plunger regularly. I own an older home which has a toilet which requires daily plunging. So it’s durability & effectiveness will constantly be evaluated. At the moment after a couple of weeks of daily use, I highly recommend the OXO Good Grips.Update – I’ve been using the plunger at least twice a day (I know – YUK!!) for just over a month. The plunger and handle are up to the task. This plunger is well built. So BUY IT.The cannister is the weak link in this bathroom necessity. It is made of plastic. So far it hides the black plunger head when not in use. But it is made of plastic. I have been careful (gentle) when placing the plunger in the cannister. So we will see. There is another aspect of the cannister to consider at least for me. The plunger head is obvious wet after being used. The cannister comes with an opening to promote toilet water evaporation. For most users I’m sure this aperture is enough to handle the moisture, but in my case there isn’t enough time between uses to allow nature to do its task.So cannister maintenance is part of the bathroom routine.Again the plunger and plunger head are well made. The cannister works well. I still highly recommend OXO Good Grips Plunger and cannister.Update 11/1/2019Still very strongly recommend this plunger – 4 months in. So pleased with the plunger and cannister. Wish I could say the same for the current toilet.UPDATE 2/21/2020We are now plunging into 2020. 8 months after purchase. Excellent plunger. I continue to HIGHLY recommend this plunger.

   Best plunger purchased.

   I love this one because it hides the plunger and it looks, and is, high end. It’s easy to use with one hand. It opens when you pull the plunger up and stays open until you return it. Nice and sturdy. Works well. Loved it so much we bought one for every bathroom.

   Overpriced and not easy to use

   I liked the caddy that holds the plunger and the sturdy handle but the actual plunger seems a bit flimsy and doesn’t hold up too well when pushing on the handle. I have never had so much splashing when using a plunger until I used this one. It finally did the job but it was frustrating.Wish I would’ve read the reviews before purchasing.

   Wife Loves It

   Bought this as an anniversary gift for my wife. She was tickled because the rubber part on our old one had cracked and wouldn’t suction. Haven’t had a chance to use it yet but tomorrow night is burrito night so we’ll see!

   GET THIS

   I don’t write many reviews, especially about toilet plungers, but I just ordered a second one because this plunger is so awesome. After many stressful years of clogged toilets and plungers that don’t work (and far too many plumber visits), we found this! Not only is it an awesome aesthetic design—IT WORKS GREAT. Forgive my excessive enthusiasm about a toilet plunger. I’m just so happy. 🙂

    Looks good in the bathroom, but plunger material is too stiff

    It looks good in the bathroom. I was surprised that the black plunger rubber is so stiff. This makes it difficult to push the water in (which is what will dislodge the blockage).

    Works like it’s supposed to

    Originally purchased a different brand toilet plunger with holder. I learned quickly that just because I can trust their bleach products, does not equate to trusting everything they put their name on. After grandchild filled toilet with paper and attempted to flush it, I hurriedly grabbed the plunger only to have the blue suction cup fold in on itself (the rubber material was so thin, there was no stability). I ran upstairs to grab another plunger and it worked quickly and efficiently. The second plunger is an OXO, and now every one of our bathrooms has a new OXO plunger.

    Great item – a must for every loo

    This is the type of toilet plunger that plumbers recommend because of the special shape. OXO’s version looks very nice in the bathrooms. Only complaint is that when you pick it up to move it, the container opens up, so you need to grab hold of the container itself to transport it around. If you have bad hips or back this will be uncomfortable for you .OXO needs to do something about this.

    Great plunger, did the job after a few pumps!

    This plunger performed great for what it was intended. Toilet was backed up and I needed to have it fixed asap, ordered this item and it got delivered the next day. Easy to use and it has a nice covered base for the after use. Although I would recommend spray it with some cleaner or disinfectant after every use and rinsed before storing. It’s sturdy enough but I would prefer a it more weight to it although that’s just my own preference.
